Each school should have the following committees, unless otherwise stated, as part of their Constitution and Bylaws:
- Budgetary Affairs Committee
- Constitution and Bylaws Committee (Suggested)
- Promotion and Tenure Committee (Unit and Primary)
- Reappointment Committee (Could, although school and campus policies do not require this committee. Some school bylaws do require committee reviews for reappointment decisions. See “Reviews and Reappointment Procedures for Probationary Faculty – page 48 of the IU Indianapolis Faculty Guide.)
- Faculty Governance Executive Committee
- Grievance Committee (Suggested)
- Review and Enhancement Committee (See page 114 – Under Plan A – of the IU Indianapolis Faculty Guide “IU Indianapolis Faculty/Librarian Review and Enhancement.)
