Faculty Development and Engagement
The Office of Academic Affairs provides guidance and educational opportunities for academic units in support of the campus strategic priorities. Our office is a resource to administrators, faculty, and staff for information about hiring practices and process, and leadership development.
Faculty Recruiting, Hiring, and Retention
Units engaged in recruiting, hiring, retention, and professional development for faculty can find support and resources in Academic Affairs. We offer guidance to search and screen committees as they work to foster our strong faculty pool and enrich our campus community.
Our office provides strategic development, administration, and evaluation of comprehensive education opportunities among all ranks of faculty and provide campus-level training in academic units engaged in hiring, promotion and tenure decisions, teaching, and mentorship.
Faculty Resources
IU Indianapolis provides support for faculty success through opportunities that provide mentorship, research support, professional development, and recognition of scholarly excellence.
Next Generation 2.0 Update
The IU Indianapolis Next Gen 2.0 program will be on pause for the 2025-2026 academic year as we take time to reassess and reimagine its structure to better align with faculty and staff needs and institutional goals.
We appreciate the support of our participants, board members, and campus partners and look forward to sharing updates on future opportunities.
