You're invited to an afternoon designed to help you connect with colleagues, campus leaders, and essential resources. This event is specifically for full-time faculty who joined IU Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Columbus after August 1, 2022.

During this event, you will:

  • Meet university leaders and fellow new faculty
  • Learn about key offices and support services across campus
  • Discover opportunities for collaboration and professional development
  • Gain insights into IU’s mission, culture, and strategic priorities

Explore Campus and Meet Your Campus Partners 

Experience the university’s vibrant atmosphere with a guided tour featuring key stops:
  

  • University Hall – the heart of academic leadership
    • Office of the Provost: Learn about the promotion and tenure preparation process, including timelines, expectations, and available support. The Provost’s team will share details about upcoming workshops and mentoring opportunities to help guide your academic advancement. 
    • Office of Community Engagement: Discover how this office supports faculty in integrating high-impact community practices into their teaching. Learn how these initiatives enhance student learning and success through real-world engagement and partnerships.
  • Campus Center – meet with representatives from Student Affairs and Registration Services. They’ll introduce you to the wide range of student support services, co-curricular programs, and enrollment tools that help create a vibrant and inclusive campus environment. 
  • Taylor Hall – At Taylor Hall, you’ll connect with the team from Accessible Education Services to gain a clear understanding of the student ADA accommodation process, how to support students with disabilities, and the resources available. 
  • University Library – a central hub for innovation and collaboration. Here, you’ll visit: 
    • The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL): A trusted partner in your professional development, CTL offers workshops, consultations, and resources to help you enhance your teaching and integrate technology effectively into your courses. 
    • Faculty Crossing: A unique, technology-rich collaboration space designed for faculty and teaching staff of all appointments. Part workroom, part café, Faculty Crossing fosters creativity, innovation, and interdisciplinary connection in a welcoming and flexible environment.
