These guidelines are intended to assist IU Indianapolis in recruiting outstanding faculty who are part of a dual career couple. When recruitment of a potential faculty member is contingent upon the employment of the partner, IU Indianapolis is committed to help in the faculty hiring process by assisting the partner find employment. We recognize that dual career assistance may be warranted to retain outstanding faculty or administrator. Every effort will be made to assist in these circumstances as well.
Although IU Indianapolis cannot guarantee employment, we are committed to helping a partner find fulfilling work at either IU Indianapolis, another university, or within the Indianapolis area. Dual career assistance will not lessen the faculty candidate’s chance of receiving employment.
The following information is designed to assist dual career clients and IU Indianapolis schools and departments in requesting assistance for the dual career partner. Assistance will be provided to partners of candidates at any rank or administrative level after accepting employment or to retain an outstanding faculty member or administrator.
